And the progress goes even further
Over the past four years, Jacksonville has strengthened its focus on economic development by hiring its first in-house Economic Development Director, and improved communication with residents through its first Communications Director.
The city invested in major improvements to the Jacksonville Animal Shelter, including an in-house surgical room providing access to low-cost and free spay and neuter services.
The administration has taken action against illegal gambling and other illicit operations, addressed unacceptable living conditions at Willow Bend while helping residents relocate, and continued working with state and local leaders toward a legislative solution to the long-standing Gray Township issue.
