The Elmore family

Jeff Elmore with his wife Michelle and their two sons.

Jeff's story

Jeff Elmore was born in Fort Worth, Texas, and grew up a preacher's kid in Roanoke, Virginia, before graduating from Monterey High School in Lubbock, Texas.

He earned his B.A. at Ouachita Baptist University in Arkadelphia and an M.A. from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary in Wake Forest, North Carolina.

It was at Ouachita that he met Michelle - a Jacksonville High School graduate, class of 1989. They have been married 25 years.

Their two sons are both Jacksonville High School graduates, now in college.

Jeff spent 30 years in church ministry and owns two small businesses in Jacksonville.

Away from City Hall you'll find him hunting, fishing, playing the occasional round of golf - and on Sundays, behind the drum kit in the praise band at First Baptist Church of Jacksonville.
